Daily water supply system status updates: Thursday , 31 August 2017 (Afternoon)

 Water supply status update by exception (i.e. areas affected due to supply constraint and not service interruption from occasional pipe burst): supply across the City of Johannesburg is normal, with reservoir levels across the city in a satisfactory position.

Unplanned Interruptions

Ivory Park, Ebony Park and  Kaalfontein.

• Please note that the team was not able to complete repairs last night due to technical challenges on site;
• Water tankers are being organized for the affected areas;
• There is currently no estimated time of repairs.

Sandton

• There is a burst pipe at West street and  Grayston , and in Parkmore at 142 2nd Ave,
• Technicians are onsite.

Reason:  Rand Water replacement and repairs of portions of sections of trunk main (F46)                                                                                                 

Impact on customers: The planned shutdown is envisaged for 33 hours. Customers living within the reservoir  zone may be affected 6 hours after the commencement of  the shutdown and customers living within the tower zone will be affected  within 1 hour after the commencement of the shutdown.
