Life is Indeed a Matter of Attitude and Choices

18th Nov 2020Breaking NewsRCCI Admin

Early in 2019, the economic meltdown affected my formal source of income. After numerous and unsuccessful attempts to find my feet, I began to spend more time on my untapped talent. In October of the same year, my creative side gained life. I launched [email protected] on Facebook with the hope of generating income via Craft Markets, Social Pages referrals and word of mouth. I did fairly well enough and survived 2019.

Fast forward 2020 arrives and headlined a Brand New Era, one of Renewed Hope and a Vision full of exciting positive business projections. Before we literally took off, Covid-19 landed on us with a totally different approach to life, income generation and any dream or vision. National Lockdown and Social Distancing suddenly become the prime terms.Lives and Livelihoods got grossly affected and changed.

I am one of thousands in distress locally. Instead of being overwhelmed by my situation, I chose to spend more time on keeping myself busy and productive. I also got busy making Washable Face Masks😷 in Keeping Up with the New Norm as we all try to Stay Safe.

In no time, as the Lockdown Levels became more relaxed, the market got more hands-on making masks. Again I found a way to remain motivated and hopeful. I added a few more Colorful Handknitted Teddy Bears. In that space of hard Lockdown, I also introduced a New Edition to the range –
Soft Hand Knitted Bunnies by Portia Tapiwa. 🐰

As the economy is opening up again, I have tried to knock on doors for an Office Administration position, PA or Front Desk, Online Sales, you name it, still, nothing has presented itself as my next big challenge behind a formal desk.

I continue to cast my net wider in my creativity. My range so far comprises A5 Size Journals, Diaries and Notebooks Handcovered with our Proudly South African Shweshwe Fabrics. This range is perfect for Corporates, Social Thank You Gifts, Guesthouse & Lodges Tokens of Appreciation and even family gifts.

I love kids, their energy and everything that they embody. A future of many possibilities. I came up with an AfriKidsRock Unisex T-shirts Shweshwe Range too ..

Personal Living Principle ~ “Instead of being miserable about my glass that’s half empty, I am eternally grateful for my glass that’s half full”

The going isn’t easy but it is Attitude, Determination and Persistence that keep us going.

Please like my Facebook page, [email protected] help spread the word. When we turn this corner, we will have Testimonies of Victories. We will have revised ways of doing business.
My Teddies and Bunnies will be waiting to Tag a Cheer on someone and stay 🤗

Let’s maintain a good attitude while waiting to turn this corner. This Too Shall Pass.

My Motivational Quote of the Day ~ “Set peace of mind as your highest goal, and organize your life around it.” —Brian Tracy
