FREE CONSULTS WITH SCHINDLERS REGARDING VALUATION ISSUES FOR EXISTING CLIENTS
We have received many requests for assistance with valuation related disputes as there are currently three open valuations rolls (in Tshwane, Ekurhuleni and COJ), and the deadline for filing of objections in relation to these rolls all close shortly.
We have decided to call for clients who require help to advise us now, so that we can schedule time to assist clients (for free) with these queries, such that after meeting with us there is still enough time for clients to make decisions about what they want to do and thereafter do it before the rolls close. We would like to avoid a situation where our clients are struggling to meet deadlines.
Any of our existing clients can thus email me ([email protected]) to set up a free meeting. Clients can bring as many queries as they like (on as many properties/buildings/schemes as they like) in that meeting.
S 118 CASE IN CONSTITUTIONAL COURT
The interpretation and constitutionality of section 118 of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act is set to be debated by the Constitutional Court on 23 May 2017.
This will result in a “final answer” on the various issues raised by this section, and will create certainty for municipalities, consumers (buyers, sellers and occupants) and conveyancers.
