We are very pleased to announce that we now have access to a CNC router in our Signage Department.
What is a CNC router?
It is a piece of machining equipment that allows us to cut, engrave and/or sculpt rather large pieces of material into intricate shapes. (And small ones as well).
Here’s a short video showing a CNC router in action:
If you click on this link (https://www.pinterest.com/dougjost/cnc-router-ideas/ ) you can get some idea of what can be done with a CNC router.
Our router has a bed of 2m x 3m, and we can cut up to 300mm deep. We can work in wood, Perspex, PVC, aluminium and non-ferrous metals (eg. Brass). The router is complementary to our laser cutter/engraver as it can handle bigger and thicker material, as well as PVC, aluminium and non-ferrous metals.
Do you have a project in the design stage, or an idea for a fancy bit of wood work? If you can use the capabilities of a CNC router, or if you want to find out more about what we can do for you, call us now on 011 678 8250, or reply to this email.
Warm regards,
Marius & Carol Smit and The Minuteman Press Cresta Team.
