Sandton and surrounds are currently experiencing a high rate of follow home armed robberies.

Cashiers in shops, bank tellers or waitresses in restaurants relay info about expensive watches or fat wallets to gangs waiting outside.

Customers are followed from the shopping centre and are robbed once in a quieter area.

Please *DO NOT* wear expensive watches and jewelry – they definitely make you a target.

*BE AWARE* of who is driving behind you- if you think you may be being followed, do a couple of turns and see if you are still being followed. If in doubt, always proceed to a busy safe place or call for security back-up.

Please always advise your community Whatsapp groups of incidents so that we can all be aware, alert and informed.
