Indalo Inclusive South Africa in partnership with The Innovation Hub-Climate Innovation Centre South Africa, Gender CC Southern Africa and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is launching the first South Africa Women Entrepreneurs Climate Change Awards (SiAWECCA).
The South African Women Entrepreneurs Climate Change Awards (SiAWECCA) are South Africa’s first women entrepreneurship awards focused on showcasing the most innovative climate smart women owned enterprises in South Africa. The aim of the awards is to promote an entrepreneurial mind-set that advance a green economy transition in South Africa whilst supporting gender equality
Up to 4 prize packages will be awarded to women-led, locally-driven and early-stage enterprises, which have the potential to replicate and expand or leverage their innovative solutions to tackle climate change challenges in their communities and in South Africa. The 4 prize packages include six months enterprise development support and mentorship, profiling nationally; facilitated connections with valuable contacts; a replication support package and a grant of R45 000.00.
The South Africa Women Entrepreneur Climate Change Awards (SiAWECCA) are supported by the Government of Flanders.
Interested candidates can apply online through https://indaloelearning.org.za/ by completing the application form. The closing date for applications is 30th of September 2020 at 23h59.
