The Randburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry has joined forces with The Jozi SME hub Randburg Branch.
The Jozi SME hub, now based in the same offices as the RCCI, will give you the ease of accessibility to an amazing array of additional services on offer under the Jozi SME hub.
The Jozi SME hub programme is an entrepreneurial development programme in the City of Joburg which includes the establishments of entrepreneurial development hubs across Joburg. Aspiring entrepreneurs or individuals starting or running their own businesses that want to grow, can now access services at the JOZI SME hub Randburg.
The Jozi SME hub, now based in the same offices as the RCCI, will give you the ease of accessibility to an amazing array of additional services on offer under the Jozi SME hub. The Jozi SME hub programme is an entrepreneurial development programme in the City of Joburg which includes the establishments of entrepreneurial development hubs across Joburg. Aspiring entrepreneurs or individuals starting or running their own businesses that want to grow, can now access services at the JOZI SME hub Randburg.
The core of each JOZI SME hub programme is supported by The Business Place through its information centres, where clients are able to receive assistance in working out the next steps to start or expand their businesses. Clients may then be referred to business support programme other support organisations or SMME service providers, many of which are clustered in the same building for ease of access “One Stop Shop”.
RCCI members, as well as prospective new members within the business communities, can regularly attend the numerous events run at Chambers and Jozi Business hub premises and also the CoJ Business Forum meeting, hosted by the CoJ in Braamfontein on the last Friday of each month. This is where the foundation to facilitate this new and exciting innovation was laid. With time and persistence, on both sides, the initiative finally came to fruition in July 2016, just as the RCCI was preparing to move to their new premises, which are still at 272 Atrium Terraces on Oak Avenue Randburg.
As a mutual commitment to entrepreneurs, the Jozi SME hub and RCCI will operate with common objectives to bring broader value added services to entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs, within the areas covered by RCCI and beyond, where possible.
By including the Jozi SME hub into the fold, the following services are now available to RCCI members, walk in potential members and entrepreneurs:
- Monitoring and evaluating the entrepreneurs’ activities and business obstacles.
- Facilitation of the funding process, where SMME’s will be matched with suitable service providers.
- Accounting services will be made available at a reduced cost.
- Taxation services including PAYE, UIF, SARS compliance, and CIPC compliance for businesses.
- Tender support, through assistance and guidance, in completion of relevant documentation.
- Training and mentoring in various aspects of business.
The many varied business services now on offer by the joining of RCCI and Jozi SME hub, will allow businesses to access knowledge, support, assistance, regular training and business events.
