The Eskom Business Investment Competition is an annual entrepreneurship competition, which started in 2007, and is run by the Eskom Development Foundation. It is aimed at recognising and rewarding small and medium businesses that are significantly contributing to the fight against unemployment and poverty and growing the economy. Black-owned small and medium enterprises in the engineering and construction, agriculture, manufacturing and trade and services sectors that have been in operation for at least 24 months are invited to enter the competition.
There is a total of R1.3 million worth of prizes to be won which will be categorized as; overall winner, runner-up, and finalists. We will also be
giving each finalist an opportunity to exhibit at the three-day Small Business Expo (SBE) to be held at the Coca Cola Dome in August as part of
their prizes at no cost. The expo is a great marketing platform from which businesses can build brand awareness, interact with potential customers and investors as well as generate media coverage.
All entries will be completed online and we would like to request that you share this information with your business database so they can participate and use this platform to market themselves. You can use the following link to access the application form: http://www.eskombic.co.za
